Titanium nitride is an extremely hard ceramic material that is applied as a thin coating that both hardens and protects the sliding surfaces of the chain. While this bumps the pricing up from the X12 silver, the extra cost is justified as the advanced coating process further improves both performance and durability.
The KMC X12 Ti-N Gold is gold in color, includes a missinglink connector, and is compatible with SRAM and Campagnolo 12-speed drivetrains.
